Human Resource Officer

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain HR files and reports
  • Compile attendance records and prepare work rosters
  • Schedule teams’ annual leaves
  • Assist with the hiring process including preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and onboarding new employees
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, and train existing employees
  • Monitor employee performance, communicate with staff about performance issues, and implement disciplinary actions as instructed
  • Assist in developing HR policies, identify areas for improvement, and organize training programs
  • Maintain accurate employee records in both electronic and paper format
  • Collect and update employee data sheets, process and record employee leave requests, and prepare work certificates of service and other employee departure files

 

Working Conditions

  • Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Fast-paced and stressful work environment
  • Office setting with significant computer use
  • High level of contact with staff and management

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, and knowledge of labour laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Outstanding levels of both written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field.
  • Experience in training or teaching may be advantageous.
  • One must have a working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office).
