General Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with and assist the owners in their day-to-day operations.
  • Provides general supervision, including interviewing and hiring, employee engagement, and attendance.
  • Delegates and assign duties to HOD’s and observers’ performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
  • Work with and assist the property owners during morning meetings or conducts the morning HOD meetings in the absence of the owners.
  • Responsible for conducting in – house training to employees and HOD’s in the hotel or a regular basis.
  • Acts as the hotels public relations director and promotes the property within the hotel industry, local community, and trade associations.
  • Coordinate with marketing team members to develop promotional campaigns, new product launches, and other events that will drive business.
  • Monitor financial performance by analyzing sales data, operating expenses, and profit margins.
  • Receives and resolved or assists the owners in resolving guest complaints and service recovery process.
  • Responsible for enforcing full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Ensures the objectives and goals of the hotel and property owners work together to achieve brand positioning and success.
  • Setting an example to team members of commitment and process expertise.
  • Ensures property, grounds, physical plants, and work areas maintained to standard.
  • Interacting and cooperating with all members

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry,
  • Degree in hospitality management or similar,
  • Proven ability to drive sales and increase both Occupancy and ADR,
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills,
  • Trustworthy and has a strong sense of integrity,
  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines,
  • Strong attention to details & clear communication skills,
  • Flexible and independent worker – able to work well with minimal supervision and have a problem- solving attitude,
  • Computer Literacy to effectively operate and manipulate online management systems,
  • Excellent administration skills to ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
