Assistant Safari Manager

Responsibilities

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with clients via email, phone, and in meetings in the office,
  • Consult with clients, listening carefully, and designing exciting tailor-made safari itineraries to reflect clients’ interests,
  • Liaise with camp/lodge managers on arrivals, departures, and delays,
  • Coordinate all guest movements and transfers coming in and out of Kilimanjaro/Arusha airport,
  • Ensuring guest security procedures are in place and adhered to,
  • Chair Safari meetings and ensure minutes are recorded appropriately,
  • Monitor, manage and direct the Safari staff, equipment, vehicles, and assets,
  • Manage enquiries, tasks, and workload to maintain service standards,
  • Manage all the Managers and Directors booking in Arusha (accommodation, flights, and transfers)
  • Meeting guest at the airport, when necessary,
  • Administrative and other duties as requested by the office,
  • Booking and ground handling of all transfer,
  • Taking full ownership for and pride in the quality and accuracy of each safari designed
  • Providing exceptional levels of customer service at all stages of the process – service levels are the core of our company

Minimum Qualifications

  • First-hand knowledge of Safari Africa, gained from working and/or living within East or southern Africa,
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills,
  • Trustworthiness, to have a strong sense of integrity,
  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines to ensure work is completed within time,
  • Clear communication skills ensuring flow of clear, timely and candid information,
  • Independent worker – able to work well with minimal supervision and have a problem- solving attitude,
  • Computer Literacy to effectively operate and manipulate online management systems,
  • Excellent administration skills to ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
